We were thrilled in April 2002 to present to Dog Guides, Hearing Ear Dogs of Canada a cheque for $4000.00 to sponsor a Dog Guide. The donation made it possible for an eligible Canadian who is deaf or hard of hearing to receive a quality Dog Guide
The sponsorship covers the cycle of puppy raising, training, selection of an eligible client and matching with a Dog Guide. The cycle is completed with a graduation ceremony that marks the beginning of a relationship that will increase safety, mobility and independence for the recipient.
The Club also supports Cameron House, Brock Mission and the food bank. We also visit the residents of Hillsted Retirement Residence serveral times a year and spend an evening with them.
