Interested in a Club in Your Area

Quota International, volunteers brought together by the common desire to assist people in need, started in Buffalo, New York in 1919. This organization of both men and women supports projects that assist disadvantaged women and children and the deaf, deafened and hard of hearing. Clubs members in fourteen countries around the world are of all ages, occupations and nationalities and are linked in a world-wide network of service and friendship.

Every club selects projects that matter most to their members, and that make a difference in their community. Many lifelong friendships develop as members work together on a common cause. As time is invested in these projects members develop management, and leadership skills and possible networking opportunities. These projects cover a wide spectrum from supporting cancer patients, providing adaptive devices, promoting literacy, to assisting seniors.

Quotarians are also working globally to touch lives in the countries participating in our international service projects such as those in India, Fiji, and the Philippines. They also have brought disaster relief to areas where it was needed most. All clubs in Canada are interested in having you as a member. Just contact any of them for more information and become more aware of how you can make a difference in the lives of the people in your community.

A vital part of Quota’s growth is the building of new clubs. They continually extend and expand Quota’s service network. Some new clubs are started in communities where there had not been a club. While others have branched out from an existing club to provide greater service with different meeting times and locations in communities where a club has existed for many years.

Clubs and branches may be traditional in nature doing both fundraising and service. However they may also be a non-fundraising, hands-on service club, as a "Silver Q" Club.

Read what President-Elect Darryl Perrine says about Canada's Silver Q clubs in her latest D & G News update. They may also be organized as a junior Quota club getting started early on giving back to their community. Just think of the possibilities.

Why not introduce your community to this dynamic organization by organizing a Branch or a Club. As a new club or club branch organizer, you have the opportunity to give the greatest gift of service you can give. When you think of all of the lives a new club can touch, you can see that this gift has incredible benefits.

Most of the necessary information and material is available to you on-line to establish either a club or a branch on our International Web Site.
